Rare Peter Jackson Minifigure Sells for Over $15K

In a surprise Instagram auction, former LEGO design master Marcos Bessa sold a one‑of‑a‑kind minifigure of filmmaker Peter Jackson. The figure was created around 2012 for the designers of The Lord of the Rings sets and features details such as a printed Hobbit logo and the One Ring around Jackson’s neck . Only about twenty of these figures were ever made, and none had been released outside the company until now. The auction drew global attention and ended with a winning bid north of US $15,000 , underscoring how unique LEGO prototypes can command steep premiums. The buyer’s identity remains confidential , adding even more mystique to this collectible treasure.
