LEGO World Records: Speed Builds and Colossal Creations

LEGO builders love pushing limits. In 2019, Ivan Yu set a Guinness world record by building the Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon in 7 hours, 36 minutes, 37 seconds . Meanwhile, more than 1,000 people constructed a LEGO ship using 2.5 million bricks; the vessel measured 8.44 metres long and weighed 2,800 kg . Australian artist Ben Craig built a life‑size 1973 Viscount caravan using 288,630 bricks, complete with functioning appliances . In a different vein, engineer David Aguilar designed a working prosthetic arm made almost entirely of LEGO bricks —showing that LEGO’s utility can extend well beyond display.
